When I do 21's (the exercise that he was demonstrating), when I come to the last seven reps (full motion) I keep my palms 'facing out', which makes the exercise much more difficult. However, after seeing this, it gave me the idea that after doing 21's to the point where I can't do them with good form anymore, doing it with palms facing the legs allows me to get one more set in. You can always learn something, as they say...

Those half raises are like part of those 21 routines where it's like 7 lower half 7 upper and 7 full. I am wondering, if you do bicep curls with externally rotated humeri so they go out to the side, does this change how it works? RVD does them like that to avoid cheating with his back while lifting explosively. Also, I get how bringing elbows forward works on the shoulder flexion aspect of the bicep, but if we are trying to hit the other elbow flexors (like brachialis) bring the elbows back?
