I meant *bench not punch by the way and when bench pressing, you don't need to fully extend your arms if they'r quite long because the last part will just be your triceps and a bit of front delts. If I were you I would forget the flies, just do pushing movements to maximise your gains. Because if your doing the isolation movements before the compounds then if you have quite a week chest, it will get tired and your arms will be doing all the work in your bench press.

Think I can help on this one. I used to have that problem all the time because I'm a tall, skinny motherfucker with long arms. Anyway, what you have to do is concentrate on form, when bench pressing or dumbbell pressing, squeeze your shoulder blades together so your chest is puffed out and your lower back is arched and off the bench, but keep your ass on the bench. Also, put your feet up on the punch to isolate the chest and just try and squeeze the bar up with your chest and not your arms.

Why don't I get DOMS on chest day? I do all exercises until failure. 3x8 bench, 3x8 incline dumbell press, 3x8 cable flies highest settings, then same on chest and foot height. I get sore in the shoulders, and a bit in the triceps though.

I usually pyramid up for every exercise and rep I do for any body part...I try to maintain a 6-15 rep range...but I admit; sometimes I get stuck in the 4-5 on the last set(typically the fourth) What is your take on this...Is it better to pyramid up the weight or stick to a weight and go to failure for 4 sets?

You probably are doing a few things wrong. Make sure you lift heavy enough to go to failure on the 9th/10th rep. Make sure you touch your chest with the barbell to stretch your chest. Also make sure your grip is just over shoulder width so you stretch more. Also, do inclines and flyes. I do 5 sets on the first exercise to warmup and 3-4 sets on the rest.
