BROOOOOOOSCIENCE, its the foods you eat prior to your workout that are going to be the ones that repair your muscle tissues and glycogen stores, digestion takes hours to cycle through your body. "fast digesting protein" there is nothing fast about it.

dude believe it or not carbs is 10 times more important than protein for post workout. protein is mainly meant for giving you energy your muscles need more carbs than protein after a workout. go to gnc and get a supplement called 211 recovery. it has 50 something grams of quick carbs and only 30g of protein. i have been seeing incredible gains. than you can have your chicken, salmon or turkey after drinking that. I'm 19 but Im taking a health and nutrition class right now for college

You say carbs for post-workout, would you still advise if someone was getting their workouts after their workday, around 6-9pm, bad idea to have carbs this late even being post-workout?

Also I forgot to mention in this video that it's best to take a post-workout shake... BEFORE this meal. It's best to consume a "liquid meal" immediately after your workout - I personally use a mix of maltodextrin/dextrose along with protein powder. This liquid meal is absorbed rapidly and is much better than waiting to eat a whole food meal post workout.... So after this shake is when you would eat this "post workout meal"

http://www.WeightGainMethod.com -► Discover How To Gain Weight Fast!
In this video we'll discuss the perfect post workout meal for guys who want to gain muscle, gain weight, and pack on a lot of size. Your post workout meal is actually extremely important as I'm sure you realize if you're watching this video.
The main goal of your post work out meal is to prevent muscle breakdown, or muscle catabolism after your workout and to get your body back into an anabolic muscle building state.
One good thing to include in your post workout meal is a fast absorbing protein source. You don't want to eat things like casein protein, or cottage cheese, or anything that's going to absorb very slowly. You want something like tilapia, or salmon. Something that's going to get into your blood stream faster.
So lets just cover the basics: You need protein and you need carbs. Personally I keep fat sources out of my post workout meal completely because it's going to slow down the absorption rate of all the other nutrients in your body.
For your post workout meal you want to get nutrients into your blood stream as quickly as possible. So you'd do okay if you just cut fat out of this meal completely. So a good meal for me is rice (brown or white) and some kind of fish like salmon, or chicken is okay too.
So those are my tips for your post workout meal. Cut out the fat. Get a good source of protein that's fast absorbing, and lots and lots of carbs.
If you want to get more tips on how to gain weight and build muscle fast, meet me over at http://www.WeightGainMethod.com
See you there,
