Grab a towel, that's all the equipment you will need to really work out your chest and back. A lot of people get confused about how to properly build their back. People spend years trying to build a strong ripped back. Many give up... because its REALLY hard, but I am going to show you a really effective way to build your back. Its a tough workout, but we can get through this together. Here's how you do it: 0:38 4 Second Push Ups:: 10 reps:: Assume the standard push up position. Come down slowly and evenly so that it takes about a 4 count. When you get to the bottom hold for a two count. Come back up. Remember, go slowly to really get the most out of your work out time. 01:36 Towel pullups:: 10 reps:: Grab your towel, lay on the floor, keep the towel tight, raise it up a few inches and pull it into your chest. One reason is people go too heavy when lifting which doesn't place the stress on the biceps as much. Using momentum to swing the weight up does not do anything for building bigger biceps. In order to build the biceps, you need to be including a combination of the right exercises as well as different training styles. Standing Barbell Bicep Curls Setup a barbell either using a straight barbell or an ez-bar. Pick a weight that will allow you to fail between 8-10 reps using good form. Dumbbell Hammer Curls: Stand with weights in each hand. Palms should be facing each other. Then curl up with no rotation in your wrists. Pick a weight that will allow you to fail between 8-10 reps. Close Grip Underhand Pullup: Perform Pull Ups but with a very close grip. This will place more emphasis on the bicep muscles. Do not puff chest out. Keep body straight and focus on your biceps when doing this exercise. Include any or all of these exercises in your next biceps workout to start seeing a bigger gains in your biceps. My search yielded about 10 results - most were yoga or PT stuff. I was disappointed. Rewind to about 8 months ago.... ....when I wrote an article for Elitefts.com stating that athletes need lower body single leg exercises. Why? Sports are played unilaterally. Do basketball players tie their legs together and bunny hop up the court? Not even close, they sprint, cut, jump, etc. Same with nearly every other sport. Therefore, I find it very important to teach the body how to fire the muscles while utilizing one leg - especially in the glutes where a lot of athletes have weaknesses. Back in present time... ...I'm starting to get fired up that a lot of people are skipping their unilateral training. Perhaps there isn't enough selection out there? I grabbed my Flipcam, handed it to Crazy Jeff, and told him to start recording and I started repping out unilateral exercises until I couldn't feel my glutes. Bulgarian-Split-Squat Bottoms Up Split Squats are one of my favorites near the 10 min and 30 second mark. 62 exercises in total. That's right 62! Many of them are changing the loading patterns of split squats, step ups, lunges, etc, BUT that makes a HUGE difference in the exercise. The whole idea of eating 6 well-balanced meals per day is by no means a new concept. Most of you who are reading this already have a good idea of how you should be eating. But for the majority of people the main excuse is they don't have the time to eat properly. But this is just not the case. Eating a &amp;quot;junk-food&amp;quot; diet probably takes just as much or more time then it does to eat a healthy diet. At lunch time getting in your car and heading on over to the fast food joint, waiting in line at the drive through, and then heading back to work takes a lot more time then if you had your food prepared in advance and ready to eat. The key to successfully following a healthy bodybuilding nutrition program is planning ahead. When you cook your food always prepare for several meals. It doesn't take any more time to cook larger quantities of food then it does to cook smaller amounts of food for just one meal. Purposely plan to have left overs that you can re-heat in the microwave, this saves time and makes it easier to have quick nutritious meals on hand.         <description><![CDATA[<div id="description">www.LeeHayward.com I'm going to break down the elements that make up a good muscle building meal. First off you need to consume a high protein intake. The general rule of 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight daily is a good place to start. I know there is a lot of controversy over protein intake, but the bottom line is I've never met a single person yet who was big and muscular who did not consume a high protein diet. Every single one of your meals needs to have a good source of protein. You should space your protein intake out equally over 6 small meals per day. You don't have to be 100% spot on with this, but try your best to space your protein intake out so that you provide your body with a continuous supply of amino acids to help support muscle growth. This is how you would calculate out how much protein you should strive to eat for each meal. First you need to consume at least 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight daily. So for example if you weigh 175 lbs. then you should be eating at least 175 grams of protein per day. 175 grams of protein divided up over the course of 6 meals works out to approx. 30 grams of protein per meal. The best sources of protein are lean animal proteins such as Skinless Chicken Skinless Turkey Lean cuts of Beef, Pork, Lamb, etc. All kinds of Fish Eggs &amp;amp; Egg whites Dairy products like milk &amp;amp; cottage cheese These foods are complete proteins because they contain all of the essential amino acids needed for muscle growth.
